Malaysian moon moth flying (Actias maenas), Malaysia. The Malaysian moon moth ranges from Malaysia, to Sumatra, Java, and the surrounding region in Southeast Asia and South Asia. The male has extremely long tail streamers which are slightly twisted. The central brown markings on the wings appear to reinforce the illusion of a mammal predator. The mimic ''eyes' of this species have a triangular yellow indent in them. Insects in flight, high speed photographic technique. Image by Andres Morya
